If you are a resident of Bengaluru then you must be familiar with the ongoing garbage mayhem that persists in our city. Particularly in some places, the stench of trash dumps makes it impossible to breathe normally. Not just visual cleanliness, but even garbage disposal is a major problem in the city. [Swachh Survekshan rankings show](https://www.newindianexpress.com/cities/bengaluru/2022/oct/29/bengaluru-in-a-garbage-mess-2512772.html) Bengaluru dropped from 28 in 2021 to 43 in 2022 in the category of cities with over 10 lakh residents. During the past decade, garbage management has not kept up with the growth of the city, according to experts. In spite of BBMP's target of [85 percent](https://www.newindianexpress.com/cities/bengaluru/2022/oct/29/bengaluru-in-a-garbage-mess-2512772.html), only 42 percent of waste has been segregated. Daily waste generated by the city amounts to 5,500-6,000 metric tonnes according to BBMP records. ## How 56 Secure can help? One of our subscribers recently complained that people were dumping garbage right outside his apartment. The issue has been noted for quite some time, and he wanted us to track down the culprit.  Additionally, he installed the [56 AI Camera](https://www.56secure.com/camera-comparison) facing the location of the dumping and enabled the Auto Siren feature. The very next day a man was caught on camera dumping garbage at the same spot at 05:07 A.M. The Siren started to ring and an alert was immediately sent to the subscriber.  A 56 [Safety Agent](https://www.56secure.com/guards) arrived at the spot too and warned him not to dump garbage at that spot or anywhere else on the street again. We also assigned an agent to keep an eye out for anyone attempting to do the same. Apart from this a warning board for garbage disposal was also installed at the spot. ![do not throw garbage here - warning board](https://blog.56secure.com/hs-fs/hubfs/do%20not%20throw%20garbage%20here%20-%20warning%20board.jpeg?width=1200&height=1600&name=do%20not%20throw%20garbage%20here%20-%20warning%20board.jpeg) Modern day issues require modern and smart solutions.
